Parking is available on the premises.  The gates may be closed from around 12.30 - 3am but the security guard is there to open them anytime you need - just call him!

Directions by public transport:
  • From Dublin airport, do not take the express buses!!  They are more expensive and do not stop near the venue!  A taxi is obviously best, but you could also take a regular bus.  Outside the airport just walk through the car park to where the normal buses stop.
Take bus 16 or 41.  Ask the driver for Griffith Avenue.  It takes about 15 minutes.  Get off the bus on the 1st stop of Upper Drumcondra Road, then walk back to Griffith Avenue, turn the corner and walk for 10 minutes until you see the entrance for the Marino Institute of Education on the left!  Remember the photos from the website!!  And see the map in the photo!
You can buy bus tickets at the bus stop but you will need coins to pay the exact fee, because they do not give change - so bring coins with you or ask for coins at a shop in the airport.

The bus does not notify you which station it is at so you will have to ask someone to tell you when to get off the bus!  Ask for Griffith Avenue!

In general you should find the Irish people friendly so don't be shy to ask for directions or help!
  • From Dublin city centre, bus 123 leaves you near the entrance (photo attached).  This bus goes from Christchurch Cathedral down Dame Street over O'Connell Bridge, up O'Connell Street and turns right onto Cathal Brugha Street and continues to the marathon.  Get off as soon as it turns onto Griffith Avenue.   It takes about 15 minutes.  Other buses that go to the corner of Drumcondra Road (10 -15 minutes walk) include: 13A, 16, 16A, 16C, 3, 33, 41, 41A, 41B, 41C.  Or you can get buses up the Malahide Road and walk from that side (10 minutes):  128, 20B, 27, 27B, 42, 42A, 42B, 43
